The Russian rouble was the largest mover against the lari on 12 August: 100 roubles were worth 3.1846 GEL, up from 3.1687 GEL on 11 August. Even after that rise the rate sits below the 3.2024 GEL of 8 August, so across the three sessions shown the rouble has lost ground against the lari. For households receiving remittances from Russia, the amount converted depends noticeably on the day.
The Armenian dram traced a similar path: 1000 drams were worth 7.1317 GEL on 12 August, marginally above 7.1287 GEL a day earlier but below 7.1612 GEL on 8 August.
The currencies that carry most of Georgia's trade settlement barely moved. The euro eased to 3.0214 GEL from 3.0274 GEL, leaving it almost exactly where it stood on 8 August at 3.0212 GEL. The US dollar was 2.6191 GEL against 2.6198 GEL, the Azerbaijani manat 1.5409 GEL against 1.5411 GEL, and the Turkish lira held at 0.0549 GEL through all three sessions. For importers and exporters settling in dollars or euros, costs are unchanged in any practical sense.
