The Russian rouble was the only notable mover against the lari on 8 August: 100 roubles bought 3.2024 GEL, down 0.0257 from 3.2281 a day earlier and 0.0316 below the 3.2340 recorded on 6 August. Over three sessions no other quoted currency moved on anything like that scale.
The rest of the board was flat. The US dollar eased to 2.6210 GEL from 2.6229 on 6 August, and the euro to 3.0212 GEL from 3.0264 the previous day. The Azerbaijani manat stood at 1.5420 GEL, the Turkish lira at 0.0549 GEL, and 1000 Armenian dram at 7.1612 GEL — movements small enough to leave contract pricing where it was on Thursday.
The practical consequence sits almost entirely with rouble flows. A household or business converting roubles receives 0.0257 GEL less on each 100 than a day earlier, while anyone buying roubles pays correspondingly less. Importers and exporters settling in dollars, euros or manat face effectively the same terms as at the start of the week.
